Rashidnia began practicing karate in Tehran( 1973 )
He earned his black belt from Master Varasteh, the founder of karate in Iran, in 1979. From 1990 to 1997, Rashidnia was a member of the technical committee of Shito-Ryu. He also contributed numerous articles on martial arts and karate in Iran to various domestic publications.
Between 1989 and 1993, Rashidnia achieved various titles in international competitions. Following this period, he shifted his focus to coaching at multiple karate clubs. He concurrently held positions in the technical committee and the refereeing committee of the Army and Armed Forces of Iran. Additionally, he served as the coach of the Tehran provincial karate team and was responsible for managing karate in the southwest region of Tehran, overseeing thousands of karate practitioners.
From 1997 to 2001, Rashidnia also took on the role of coaching the karate team of one of Iran’s major universities (Azad University). Under his guidance, the university team participated in two international events—Scotland in 2000 and Malaysia in 2001—where they achieved championship titles. In 1998, he was selected by the Karate Federation to coach the Iranian national kata team.
Rashidnia’s achievements as the coach of the national team of Iran are as follows:
– Runner-up at the Asian Karate Championships (AKF) in Singapore, 1999
– Runner-up at the West Asian Championships in Kuwait, 2000
– Finalist in the World Team Kata Championships in Munich, Germany, 2000
– Third place at the Asian Karate Championships (AKF) in Malaysia
However, on August 17, 2002, a turning point occurred in his sports career when he was invited by the then-president of the Karate Federation of Macau to take on the role of head coach for both the kata and kumite teams of this small and beautiful island across all age categories.
For 21 years, until December 2023, Rashidnia continuously served as the head coach of the national teams of Macau across all age groups in kata and kumite.
During this time he Participation in six editions of prestigious Asian Games
– Participation in two editions of major East Asian Games
– Participation in twenty editions of WKF World Championships
– Participation in twenty editions of AKF Asian Championships
– Participation in dozens of renowned international competitions as well as various tournaments across different parts of the world…
His achievements during this period include
